Cool Side Exhaust

Hey there everyone.

So I'm looking at my first major mod, adding side exhaust. But i have a few questions to anyone that has done it... I got a quote at my local muffler shop and he said to cut it an the resonator go straight out the side it would be $175CAD, seems a bit much to me for 4 feet of pipe, and that's before the tips as well. After doing some reading here Lunchbox has the exact setup i want with the Camaro Z28 tips, Flat rectangular tips (see pics here ) Now I have a welder and could probably do this myself but i was curios if anyone that has done this has had any big regrets. and does anyone know where i could get exhaust tips like that? They seem to be hard to find.

P.S I know it will be a lot louder as there will be no muffler just the stock resonator

I'd go with just the round pipe out the side with no tips just to see how loud it is and then you're not out the cash if you don't like it!

Doing some more thinking and i might not do it anymore. May just do a muffler delete instead. cheaper and would sound the same as the side pipes.

Not a fan of muffler delete since it can make the exhaust system really loud.
