Thanks to Tracy we now have the best air filter that Chevy should have done, I finished my 2 days ago but will make a change this month, big change in performance.

 

Don, thanks for posting the pictures of my latest Air-Box design, i'm glad you and Jay are enjoying the boxes.I'm already working on another air-intake design, Street Rod Style. Pics will follow.

 

Will look forward to seeing it at the 7-11 one of these days. Thanks again for the airbox trimming.

 

Possibly, course the vette can Inhale much deeper... me: I have other things cooking for my CAI (more later, nuff said)...

but fwiw my wifeys Mopar has the factory intake draw in like this also, 2 scoops. I forgot till I was under her hood this afternoon checking fluids etc..

 

Jay posted a few photos in his gallery of some new tubing he had done, I told him I would help post them for him.



The elbows are AEM, from what he said, and the tubing is 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe he had bent....... Spectre reducers and some kind of "shop vac" nozzle??? (I may be wrong on that last part but that's what they look like...)

Looks awesome Jay. Taking advantage of the passenger side on in that top position hits it on the head. Question for Our Guru's : What's the take on the taper of the nozzles creating a venturi effect- would the small to large work to the benefit? - Nice job Jay cant wait to see Sleeper's

Being ram-air, it should get enough air. But for the true venturi effect, IMO the openings could be enlarged like Vettes. etc. (not as big) but funnel type openings..
And personally I would like the vacuum pipes to be bigger to start with..

The limiting of the venturi effect is when air reaches a state of choked flow..
