I would like to find a kit where it would allow me to pop the hatch from the inside by button. Also if the hatch could lock slowly , like in my 91 Camaro, I belive Cadillacs have this feature too.

Autoloc macke a actuator that will open the hatch for you. It would replace the shocks and open and close at the push of a button. Kinda like the dodge minivan side doors do.

I was thinking about this the other day, I don't know how it would interlink with the latch system. I know these are used on truck tailgates, but if they didn't latch totally no one would know or care. If there was any gap the bouncing and rattleing would drive me crazy. Might try to see if they could set up a selunoid for the latches that automatically makes the actuator work too with just the minor delay for the latches.
