A friend of mine opinion is that try breaking a thin piece of filler then try breaking a thick piece of filler. It's alot harder to break that thick piece. So is thicker better when it comes to bodywork. We usually try to do it that we use the least amount.

Anyways replacing the gate is the best option but I still would not blend the quarters.
dude, i am talkin about replacing the entire liftgate. i know about fillers and fabrication...you are preaching to the choir. i did installs and fab for NBA. MLB players on $40-50K+ systems. complete rebuilds and so on. i do not want to go that route and my car has less than 6K miles on it. when the insurance hands me the check i will decide on what to do. i own it with no liens so its my choice. i saw you do a mediocre install on your flipdown screen with mediocre equipment. you must be used to mediocre bodywork.

Let see my car was sponcered by the president of polkaudio 2002 appeared in major magazines and shows for them, 2003 Kenwood wanted my car, also appeared in Kenwood 2003 mobile audio catalog 'cover'. I built that car. Sorry you don't like my work but my screen install is doing just fine. I looked at my options before installing and I don't know to many headliners that have a 3/4" hard back foam. Upon installing I tested how a screw would take in this. There is also something strong enough that the screw would grap into. This was my option before I "hacked" my headliner apart. I braced it with what I thought would be enough and it's still looks good. I will let you know other wise if something happens.

If anyone knows how to convert adobe files, I'll gladly post my polkaudio ad.

I have pic's of my HHR on here where are yours since mine is mediocre? a must see for me.

Yeah, I though we were talking bodywork until a comment was made about my work and my car when he doesn't even have enough pride to post anything other than a dent. I've been working on doing clean modifications to my car and post them proudly. I have read a couple of his comments to others and they were rather ****y. The thing is there is not one ****y picture of his HHR on here to back that up.

You know though....some of us just don't post pictures of our own cars. I'm one of them. Guess I should put something up. I've had the car for almost 2 years and been on this forum, the same.

maybe....

same thing happened to me tonight.

mines dented bad on the lowerer part of the tailgate, just below the tag.

runs from the HHR to the LS emblem.

really pissed me off, cause i just got mine.

i have to wait till monday and take it to my insurance co. and see whats gonna happen, cause i don't know who the insurance is in.
i had my dad co-sign for me and the dealership said the title would be in his name with insurance till i get my white title to be able to get my tags.

im hoping its insured cause i can't afford to fix it with X-mas comming up.

was it a hit and run as well? any pics? i would like to see what develops with yours if it is similar to my dent.

BTW whiplash...i have posted plenty of pics in here of my old work and car. i have a 2007 LS, paid off, 18" SS wheels, Kenwood DD with Navigation as my starter deck, Alpine PDX2.150 for my Dynaudio components, another Alpine PDX 600.1 for my DD2512. rear fill is for suckas. working with Ekstensive on a possible custom airbag setup and would like to lay the rear on 18's. maybe spend some cash on raising the front strut towers so i can get really close to the ground up front. pending what happens with this accident deal i may start on the two-tone this month. issue is if i two tone i want to shave doors and suicide rears which i then would have to pry my Lexus from my girls hands and the ratrod is not runnin at this time.

I'm glad you're taking credit for it. I thought he left when I made him the ultimate challenge.....show us his real cars and admit he is living in fantasies!!

I lost a lot of sleep over that yeah, right.
