I never even bother to ask the price of the OEM. The guy at the dealership was kind of giving me the run around about the price. He could get it in that day so I could have it done in time to sign off on the ticket but he didn't want to give me the price untill I double checked with my insurance company to see if I had glass coverage. He ensured me that if I didn't have coverage they they would do their best to discount it as much as possible. I got off the phone and double checked with my insurance company and sure enough I was right, I don't have coverage. I never bothered to call back. I ended up paying paying $572 for the PPG glass after tax and install.

Yup, there went my plans of lowering it and putting on a new exhaust. But at least I didn't have to pay the ticket and I probably have one of the first HHRs in America with a manufacturer tinted glare strip.

BTW that doesn't mean that I'm not going to lower it and do the exhaust. It just means I don't get to do it this month like I planned. Well maybe I'll still lower it, that's cheap enough.

Suggestion-exhaust first, so it will be easier to work on before you lower it (unless you are using a lift).

I've already had to replace the glass on mine. Caught a rock driving to my sister's for Turkey Day. Wish they would have given me the option to get rid of the little black dots and add the glare strip. Sucks to hear how much it was to replace, I got lucky and have FL insurance.

The dots are still there but seeing as how the tint is in the glass you don't have to worry about tinting over them and getting air bubbles trapped around them.
