Only a Suggestion. What if you removed the adhesive (assuming 3M tape) and replaced it with the double sided carpet tape, it is the fibre type and very thin. I have used it to attach insignas etc. to flat surfaces such as trophies etc. even a sheild to my Harley battery cover and have had no problems for 3 years.

I think im gonna wait on the bezel until someone makes one that fits better.
