LOL, awesome pics there chuck,lol. I was just trying to say that you had done the auto shifter knob mod on yours, but couldnt remember what you told me that had to do to do this mod. Glad to see you reply to a thread, and with pics,lol.

 

Any special trick to this? I tried on my 2008 HHR LT2 auto and got nothing. The chrome piece could rotate 1/4 turn but thats it.

 

You have to push the chrome piece downwards( it is easierto do it with the shifter in the neutral position) and once down there is a set screw that is on the backside of the shift knob that you have to loosen up with a metric allen wrench.
