Chrome outside door handles

Hi
Would like to install chrome door handles. GMPD sells them as a handle assembly, which not a big deal to remove the inner door panels and change out.
I was just wondering if the chrome covers I see are worth it.
Thanks

You don't need to remove the door panels to change out the outer door handles , you remove the rubber plug on the door jam and loosen a T20 or 25 torch screw till the rear piece of the handle comes loose, then slide back the front piece to remove.
The 3M tape on chre caps are bulky looking I like the factory Chrome handles, they take about 15 minutes or less to change out!

Sorry, but gotta say my opinion here. Chrome door handles on a SS will look really awful.
Just my opinion.

The black is just too much for me on my SS. I've been looking at other black cars and the handles help break up the color field. I use to own a 1969 Chevelle SS that was black with a black vinyl top and black interior. Had chrome Craiger SS rims and stock chrome door handles. Worked then, it should work now.
Also looking into plastic chroming the rim of the stock plastic grill to break up that area also.
Any SS that has color other than black looks good with the the black grill.
