Take the R from the HHR and remove the L from the LS. Put the R and S together and you have the HHR RS model. Still factory correst emblems.

I actually considered that, but since my panel is blasck with red pinstripes, the Cav emblems match nicely

People here were making "fake" SSs back in 06, before any news release of the actual SS.

See ya down the road

I say go for it.

It in no way can be considered a fake copy of any HHR made now or in the past. There is no reason why a person who modify's his car can't have a slightly different model designation. Like someone else earlier, dealers do it all the time. Is that considered a fake.

To each his own. No one here has the wright to tell you otherwise.

yes.

why do you even need a badge. let the car speak for itself. that is my point.

By your definition, any customization would make it a 'fake'

To each their own
we are talking about badging the car, not customizing it. why stop at RS, go for the ZR1 model. how about not changing the model of your HHR and just customize the HHR emblem on there now. maybe make it look like the SSR emblem. the HH with the scripted R. just another idea. no hater here. have a good one.

Everyone has their own idea of what fake means. I used to be into restoring Corvettes as a $$$$$$ "hobby". On one trip to the Blomington Gold meet (look it up if you don't know), there were more "documented, numbers matching", L-88 435 h.p., 1967 Stingrays for SALE than Chevrolet built. Now that's FAKE!!!!

dude who cares what people say you can make a exact replica of an SS HHR and people will still complain if you put an SS badge on it, screw them and do it man. Its your car you can do what ever the hell you want to it, opinions are like ***holes everyone has one. So don't sweat what they think.
