Custom Coil & Fusebox Covers...

Well, it was a nice day today, so I installed our custom Coil & Fusebox covers, and rear Carbon Fiber Bumper Cover. on my personal HHR. Originally, I had planned on going with the Carbon Fiber look on the engine, but decided it was too dark under the hood of my charcoal HHR.
I finally settled on Silver Carbon and it makes a nice contrast to all the black underhood:

These are only "appearance" items, but they spruce up the HHR's engine bay nicely. Once we get the CAI installed it will start to look "less than stock." I went with the Carbon Rear Bumper Cover because it looked best against the dark silver - it blends really well!

Your thoughts are welcome - as always!

They look nice SoCal! Too bad it's not real carbon fiber. I'll wait untill you get chrome covers for in the engine. I know you will when they become available.

Hi CH; It's actually better looking and more durable than real CF in this application. It's hard to get nice edges with thin sheets of carbon. These have really nice rolled edges and the material is pretty thick. I'm also having a bunch of real carbon fiber parts made (surprise!) - but I wouldn't replace these with real - they look much better.

Yeah, but it looks that much cooler! But then you would have to charge a lot more if it were real carbon fiber. It doesn't take away from the look not being real. I like it none the less! I want real chrome dress up pieces for under the hood. I know your working on it.
