I got some emblems for Fathers day and am looking for a good mounting tape to install them with. I've checked a few auto supply store in the area and the only thing they sell is a 3M tape that looks to be too thick to look good. I've used a very thin 3M mounting tape in the past, but that was only for interior use. I'd like to get something similiar to this if it's available.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Try the dealerships, they may have what you need.

 

You should also try an automotive paint supply store. 3M manufactures a very thin gray colored double sided tape specifically for mounting exterior pieces. It's very heavy duty and can withstand the elements.

 

Are there any awning shops around. I used to work in a warehouse that supplied the materials to these shops and there is a very good double sided tape that those manufactures use. I've got some of it applied to my taillight rings and they haven't budged in over a year!
