Question Fender guard just a little differant

After dealing with the guard on the door getting beat up I decided to do a couple of things to help.....

Mud flaps are on order and should be in tomorrow.

But the big change was was taping off the guards and "repainting" them with Duplicolor spray on bed liner. I like the look. It keeps with the Old School theme since a lot of the older cars/trucks used rubber guards.

What do you think?

That gives it even more retro look.

I have to agree...

I really like that look on your Sunburst Orange!!!

Clever idea, preventative mod and great look...

very interesting...i wouldn't have come up with it i'll tell ya that much haha. i seem to always try to keep things toned down and make them blend, so i wouldn't have done them that way on a SOM out of habit, even though i see now i would have liked the result haha.

I was going to spray the top of the rear bumper the same way to cover up scratchs from my dog getting in and out the rear and give a little more grip as well. I figure it should look pretty good being black on black. Might paint my guard the same way if yours holds up well.
