Fender Spears or molding for sides?

Hello, I am interested in the old school look. I saw a vendor linked to this site that has a spear kit, and a few members that had them. To me they looked very nice, but I would like something a bit more like the early 50's buicks or chryslers. Any thoughts on how I could go about this?
Thanks

Autozone sells moulding in various widths, it is not as thick as what comes in the kit so you can cut curves or points on the end. I removed a kit and replaced it with the "Zone" stuff, looks much better.

I just put the fender spears on. Don't like the rear fender with spears though, These are the kit spears. I am now looking for a small hood ornament and chrome piece to go down the middle of the hood and chrome vent visors and Im done.

Thanks. I did fix the crooked one. LOL

My brother thinks it looks Puerto Rican..... I am trying to customize the car without making it look like a pimp mobile or Spanish Low Rider.

Just retro......Everything I do has to be retro oriented.
