That's not MY OPINION.....it comes from their website. It's THEIR CLAIM as I stated.

I was not speaking specifically of you. However.....

If I'm not mistaken the "message" you quote from the K & N website, speaks in generic terms......not specifically of an HHR (ande we are speaking about HHR's here). So that reference COULD be for any of 300 different vehicles.....but probably something of very high HP. K & N also uses the word "GENERALLY" before the HP mention. That allows for the legal loop hole to the customers complaint, "I only got .7 HP (or none)". It's all a matter of advertising AND UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU ARE READING.

But do whatever makes YOU happy.

Oh, so you were just GENERALLY speaking of me. If there was any real validity to any of the claims out there, you could add what? about 100 hp to your vehicle just by bolting things on. Ease up.....It's not all that serious-I'm happy-the HHR is my wife's car.

Man, another "cowboy".

What's your problem. I was adding info to something that was PROBABLY provided innocently, but maybe incorrect.

I admit and many on this forum know, I have low tolerance for incorrect, improper information. It's just a personal value. I guess that bothers you.

Maybe, if we need to continue OUR discussion, we should take it to PM (I would have, but I wrote the above when I thought of it).

To the OP.....

Any thoughts of outlighting or highlighting the lettering....maybe with black??

There's no problem. Not on this end. I think you are misunderstanding my intent. Completely tongue-in-cheek. Intent is so hard to read on the internet. I don't think there's anything that calls for further discussion between you and I. I don't appreciate the name calling but under the circumstances, I'll just chalk it up.

I just installed the GMPP intake today, no photos yet....... But fairly easy install and sounds great, looks fantastic....... mine's still clear coated alloy/chrome looking finish, near new.

I only took it around a couple of blocks so don't know about performance differences yet. Day-um that sound though Sounds like an old Quadrajet at WOT

So, this morning I went out and pulled the ECM fuse, #41, and let it sit for awhile (something I didn't get to do last night) After I reinstalled the fuse I fired her up and let it idle for about 5 minutes then took her out around a few blocks again. This made a huge improvement over last night's drive. Throttle response is much better, not just over the GMPP without the ECM reset (which was terrible) but over the factory setup running at it's best.

I don't know about numbers, but this air intake does make a very impressive "seat of the pants" improvement in driving experience just from the throttle response and the sound. The fact that it looks so cool under the hood is a bonus too.... Yay! The turtle is gone!

But the noise!

If someone could or has posted sound files of the stock vs the GMPP air intake, I'd really like to hear them. I enjoy the quiet in my HHR, and have spent time and money trying to get rid of every creak and rattle that I can. I'm not sure I WANT my HHR to sound like a race car (or like my S2000). However, I am not sure what I am criticizing, since I've never actually heard it!

I found this YouTube video with before and after regarding GMPP air intake on Cobalt, but nothing on HHR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh4ULPffYNU

No sound clips, but you can only hear a difference at wide open throttle, so, it's not really a big deal.

Still available from GM?

Someone selling a vehicle on here stated that the GMPP air intake is no longer sold by GM. Is that true?
