Gmpp cai
Just wondering, why a second filter? Unless, when purchasing used, the previous owner changed filters.....the original filter, by GM, is washable and life time.

Makes sense. I also believe someone located a slightly larger aftermarket disposable filter. Might be in the Search area. Also the part number for OEM filter is probably there......someone inquired about that before.
The part number given in a post from several months back....19159207. Might save ya some time.

I know it's been asked here several times in other threads about this unit.... "Is there a MPG increase?"
Yes there is....... at least in my case.
On my weekly trip down to see my Father every Friday I usually track my mileage on the DIC because the route and my speed stays pretty consistent and I get to judge if a mod I made during the week has made any changes to MPG. About a month ago I put the 2LT wheels/tires back on and saw the MPG go down from 30+ (typically, I saw this every week for months) to 27-28 for the last 3 weeks. These are considerably heavier tire/wheel combo than my Euromax set so I figure the added unsprung weight made that difference (Both sets are the same diameter and tread design, Goodyear Eagles, so it wasn't that) Today it was back up again, better than it has been with the summer tires..... So a good 2MPG increase maybe a little more. The only change was the GMPP. I averaged 31.8 for mostly 55 MPH back roads today
There's a bit of highway in the middle and city on each end for this trip. I zero the DIC when I leave and check it when I get home, so the average is "down and back".... It's about 80 miles round trip.
Problem is the increase would only happen when you keep your foot out of it and "hypermile it"..... With this intake it's damn hard to keep your foot out of it.
and, YES, I did do a couple of WOT blasts up to speed limit today...... Just because it's so much fun to hear this thing open up and feel that pull in the low end which is very noticeable.
No, it's not a closed course, temperature controlled, scientific measurement. Just an observation, but when all else stays roughly the same my only conclusion is a MPG improvement with this unit.
Also.... I hope the OP doesn't feel I'm high-jacking his thread. I figured we both installed the same unit this week, no reason to start my own thread.

And of course 17" rim weighs a bit more than a 16", but I'm still averaging bout 30mpg on 17"s
