Gmpp cai
You could polish it out and re clear coat it. The clear coat they sell for wheels would work well and comes in a spray can.
Of course painting it, like you have started leads to some nice custom ideas also.

So back on the 11th of last month I ordered the replacement filter for the GMPP intake from GMPartsDirect.com, as I mentioned several posts ago....... Today it arrived. Not the quickest service but they had to order it from somewhere else, I think these things are getting scarce. That's why I got one now, just in case the original got damaged somehow in a few years, I might never have found one in the future, so now I have my spare "lifetime" filter. (does that give me two lifetimes?)
Price wasn't bad but shipping almost doubled the cost, so I paid just over $40 for the filter element delivered to my door. Got a deal on the GMPP intake so I'm still ahead of the game compared to retail and have two elements.......
New element is made in the U.S.A. which I'm glad to see.
