Firetruck, just use your creativity, go to places like e-bay and find old fire equipment and modify it to suit your design, go down tot he local firehouse and talk to some of the firemen, you'll find all kinds of ideas and maybe even cheap stuff from them as most do collect fire memorabilia (spelling?) It could be a really fun project and it is a great idea...good luck. Let em know if you need any artwork or paint and body info...
