I'm still waiting!

1. I have made a final decision not to risk putting naked HID bulbs in HHR housings that were designed for halogen technology.

2. These forums document individuals who retrofit HID assemblies in their HHRs as a "one-off." A "group buy" was done through another website for the somewhat similar Cobalt.

3. While still technically illegal as not DOT-approved for the specific application, no has claimed that properly-installed HID projectors blind oncoming drivers. I am still waiting for someone to offer them, either salvaged or new, in factory housings supplied by them or me, at a fair price either to me individually or as a potential "group buy" through this forum.

4. I really want HIDs on my HHR. I consider this to be a safety issue for night driving. The only reason I don't have them now is the lack of opportunity. I started this thread to try to get that opportunity, so far without success.

Exactly. Mine aren't blinding one bit.

have you ever seen an HHR with HID's, in person? we're talking about HHRs, not other cars.
He hasn't... end of story. He's obviously a HID snob. Pure and simple.

I'm running 55W 8K in my headlights, 35W 6K in my projection fog lights. They look good, they work good, they have never gotten me flashed.

I run the same setup in my HD Ultra and those are much more offensive. At night it clears the road in front of me. I don't care, it's a motorcycle thing. I want to be seen above everybody else, if it blinds you for a min, so be it. But that is a rider thing.

So bottom line...

HIDs in my HHR work and work well
They don't blind people, I have them adjusted correctly.

Incorrect again. The story never ends. I guess I'd rather be a "HID snob" as you put it, than to prove I could give a rats @ss about other drivers on the road as you apparently don't. There are literally hundreds of places in the Atlanta area that sell these kits and I've seen them in numerous vehicles, including HHR's.

Yes illegal is still illegal, the differance in covering up part of a tag and possibly blinding someone to the point of an accident is extremely different. I would hope you do see the differance.

I've never understood why those that do thing illegally, just have do defend themselves in the manner like you do? Boggles the mind..... Feel free to insult more if you like.

Hey it was asked and discussed... go on with your snob self. Illegal? Sure mine are. So is my plate cover, tinted windows, tinted marker lights, and probably my exhaust. I'm not worried about it.

My applogies, don't worry, I won't be back. Good luck with your search, if you do find a set of projectors that work here, I would also like to know.
