Kumho TIres
Anyone runniong the 711's? If so how do they compare to the stock Firestones? I am kinda happy with the Firestones, but I like stiff sidewalls for more responsive control.
Are the 711's noisier, rougher, stickier, etc..
Also, living in New England I do need them to work decently in the snow.
Thanks in advance.

Correction: I did a little more homework:
THey're actually ASX's as opposed to 711's. I've been reading online and I don't see stark differences, only the classification or High Performance and Ultra High Performance. Thanks for the insights..loving the wheels thus far!

The ride is very much the same. You won't get the same mileage on the 711's as with the Firestones, but this is a trade off with a stickier tire. We got about 50k on the stones (they went from one family Focus to another) and only about 30k on the 711's. But even though, I will still go back to 711's when the time comes. You also have to keep in mind that because of the better handling I pushed the 711's much harder, this would account to some of it's wear. They also saw many blast's down the 1/4 mile.
Thanks for the report.
I got the HHR after it had spent a winter being driven, but I had not driven it, so I have no idea how the Firestones work in snow.
I'll wear the Firestones a while longer and see how they do in the foul weather next snow season.
If we have a bad snow season, I could just get a set of snows for the extra set of rims I'll have by then. That would leave me able to concentrate on dry/wet performance tires with little thought of snow. Just switch to the other tires at a certain point.
I know what you mean about a better handling tire making you push them! That is the reason for owning them!
