Hello,
Did GM make Roof side rails in full Nickel, or just Chrome and Black?

(Note: Not asking about the roof cross bars)

They came in Chrome, Satin, & Black finish.

 

I've got a related question. I noticed in the parts book that they list the cross rails with black, chrome or nickel (satin) end caps. I always assumed this was because that's the three choices in side rails and the two should match. Imagine my surprise when the cross rails I ordered with my SS (w/ black side rails) oame with chrome end caps. It doesn't look right to me as I expected black end caps but others seem to think it looks OK. Should I take this up with the dealer or am I somehow mistaken in what I should have gotten?

 

They were never offered in the Satin/Nickel. For the 06/07 models they were available only w/ the "Bright Chrome" pkg.

For the 08/09 models they offered the black rails.

I got my Satin/Nickel side rails today. The dealer calls it Pearl Nickel. This color can only be orderd seperate not as a kit. The full add-on kits only comes in black or chrome....bummer

I was hoping the end caps would come with the rails but they did not. 4 ea with differnt part numbers.

I was for sure they did make them. Then I spotted this 06 with the Nickel rails a week ago and put my order in. The dealer was even unsure of the color, but they came in ok.
