I ordered the Special Edition Spoiler for NEMO.
It arrived yesterday, took it to the Dealer today, now the pickle starts.
No templete, no Nuts for the 2 screws. The guy at the Dealer was very honest, in saying I can do it, but without a Templete, can not really promise that it would be straight, and in the right position. We don't have a Templete for this Spoiler.
Off to the parts department, They made about 4 phone calls, no luck hopefully in an hour or so they will call me.
Called where I got the part, Talked to them about the problem, they looked for awhile, they are calling GM. They will call me as soon as they have an answer.
And now the wait begins!

Well the place that I bought it just called. GM does not make a templete for the Spoiler, due to the fact that it is a factory item.
I questioned
What if a Special Edition was rear ended and the tailgate had to be replaced?
They would have to have a templete to attach the Spoiler to the new Tailgate?
No answer,,,,,Guess I will just have to sell on eBay, unless I can get a templete.
Dealer has just called with the same info!
I am now on hold with GM customer service, just to ask questions.
More when the outcome is complete.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Sorry to hear about the problems Karen, had the same issue with the old style I bought for Bonnie. I just measured and eyeballed it as best as I could, and TAPED that sucker down!! Still going strong. The spoilers are very light and the tape is very strong. I just made sure I covered the whole base with tape, not just around the edges. I've never seen the underside of the type you have so I can't say if I'd try tpe alone or not.

I spent over 2 hours total with the 1800 chevy number was bounced around a lot.
Bottom line GM does not make a templete for this item.
Good News, I made one.
Flip the Spoiler over, with butcher paper, push it down over the 2 screws and the 3 plastic pins, mark all of the edges carefully. I did it 2 times just to make sure they were even.
Now have a templete, with where the holes are to be drilled.
Can place it on the HHR with tape and even it up and Drill.

Spoiler is at the shop for painting.

I am happy now, will be happier on Monday, date of install.

Thanks again for letting me vent.

Wow...good job! So does that mean all the dealer installed spoilers is some guy "guesstimating" where the stuff should line up??

The Premier Edition Spoiler only comes on the HHR from the Factory.
It is not an option for others.
All I know is that I made a templete and the Body guy thinks that it was a good way.

Karen,
I am getting ready to order the same spoiler. Did you get it from GM Parts Direct? And if so, did you have to pick it up at your local fed-ex hub?
Also, did it seem to be primered satisfactorly?
Thank's in advance.........
