Question Questions after spending days reading about baby moons.

I have read for days about everything I could do you put baby moons on my HHR. This black hhr has baby's and I have sent a PM to this owner with no reply. Anyone know his/her secret?

I am trying to avoid having to buy all new rims and tires. I read in the forum history about how changing the wheels may void drivetrain warrenty.

I was wondering if anyone has riveted clips on there stock rims to hold the baby's in place? The clips where widely used on VW's. Below is a site I found where a guy does a step by step on how to replace clips on a vintage chevy rim. I have found a few sites on how to replace them on vw's and was just wondering if anyone has toyed with this route on there HHR?

Thanks for all the welcomes to this forum site.

Very active on other HHR site(s). Maybe Deb could see if Andrew can pop in to answer a few questions.

Those are aftermarket wheels with baby moons. I think the OP is looking for moons to fit the stockers.

i think you have to find some steelies. I know i did with my sonoma and i put full moons on. But those wheels look like steelies and he just bought some baby moons that fit that wheel

Continuing my research of how to solve this baby moon on stock rims I stumbled apon another picture of BlackHHR's wheels I discovered that the car seems to be sitting on stock rims judging by all the round holes. So, I know that where is hope.

I have been toying with the idea of engineering some clips with nutplates (aircraft hardware) and riveting them to the stock wheels to allow me to have about 3 flush screws holding each baby moon to the wheel.

Another idea I had was to find some cheapy hubcaps that attach by lugnuts. The kind that have spring clips to hold on the lug nuts unlike what is on the car now with the screw on to lug nut types. Trimming the cap down and bonding the baby moon to the cut down cheapy cap.

Boy I wish a company out there would realize the potential at making old skool HHR parts!
