If I remember correctly ( I have a brain like a sieve), this same vehicle was on eBay some time ago as being wrecked and available for salvage. In fact, I remember one of the members commenting that with the cost of the vehicle, shipping to the mainland (it's out of Hawaii), then repairing it, you could just about buy a brand new HHR. Anyone remember this?

The ripple is from rolling the rear fenders and obviously not finishing the job. They needed to roll the fenders for the 20" rims. How do I know...I'm victim of a bad fender roll on my HHR also

Anybody notice the front door seems to be about a half inch lower than the body panel? I think this is a patch-up job of the worst kind.I would hate to be going down the road and start to have parts fall off.

I keep going back to eBay and looking at that HHR. I think I know where some of the parts came from. Found this in the guy's other eBay listings:

12) Yes I will combine shipping on multiple items.
So if I buy the HHR and the Nut/Bolt costume set I'll save on shipping?

Sweet!

You and I are on the same page, Firewatcher. As soon as I reviewed that listing on ebay, I recognized it as the same car from that previous post of the wrecked HHR.

I'm missing something on the paint job though. Everyone is sayin it's really cool, nice, whatever. But, I see no gloss in the paint. Is it supposed to be that way? Kind of looks like it's painted with a sponge, IMO.

Now, I'm not that old, but the true rat rods that I have seen photos of have that same black paint, but I don't remember any with wheels like those
