Rear Bumper

I was wondering if anyone has designed or seen custom rear bumpers that are thinner than the stock ones. Almost as if the whole back is smooth from top to bottom without the bumper sticking out like it does. I wonder if it would look better plus because its a "high traffic" area for loading and unloading it can be in the way and gets scratched up pretty good even though I'm trying to be more conscience of it.

Ask Mike (GDZHHR) about his PTeaser rear bumper...it's smoothed out & doesn't protrude...

I'd be all over this one if it was available. I do like the one from pteaser though.

Thats exactly what I was thinking about. Are they still rated to take a hit tho?

The bumper is fiberglass. Have no idea about crash rating. It was pretty much bolt on. Check my Teazer review thread before buying any of their stuff though!

It would be as long as the underlying steel crash bumper remains, like this if you've never seen one apart...

Oh thanks. I guess theres also foam in the bumper as well then? I wonder if the after market ones will still have some kind of foam protection as well.

The metal bar is reused, there is no foam though.
