Mine was included as part of my dealer installed options when I bought my HHR. They charged $65 for it as an option. I don't know the cost to have one installed or to buy one after the purchase of the vehicle.

Installing them is just pealing the backing off of the two-sided tape.

IMO, but em from GMParts Direct and put them on yourself. that's what I did. that or get one of SoCal's, I'm sure they're just as easy.

It's nothing like the pads on the running boards, those are a pain to get off!

It looks like the same stuff but the running boards have several large clips which go into cutouts in the boards. A real pain to get off!

the rear looks the same but just goes on with tape. Minutes to install.

I have the Silver Carbon one from SoCalHHR's as well, shown below. I also added some 1/4" chrome trim around the edge to keep that chrome thing going on.

I like that mat, but I want one to go farther down to just above the reflectors. and between the 2 bumpers. Am looking for the right stuff to use.

i dont know about anyone else, but I dont have a problem scratching the bumper up that close to the body, it is further out on mine, pretty much everywhere that all the bumper covers DONT cover. I have started pulling my mats out and putting them over the back or keeping an old comfortor in the back under the tray for loading and unloading computers.

Never said anything about how they attach. Same look, feel and material as what is on the running boards.
