Where the panels sweep upwards should meet with a molding that surrounds the upper panel. Could be made from fiberglass and covered in a matching vinyl..... Just a thought.

Looks great though

Was thinking of a reverse pinch welt around the abs but it would make the attaching of the panel insert an even more pita than it already was .....

So close though! Another 1/16" off might do it! I think i'm just to used to my old 68' Camaro and 68' Impala's nice long and flat at the ends door panels! I'm pretty close to being happy with it though ... We really want it to look when the door is opened that it was factory and not an after thought .....

(2) 3/32" Textured ABS Plastic Sheets, $25.00 for both

(2) Original Door Panels, used, $80.00 for both on ebay

Misc brackets, screws and nuts, $100.00, ouch dealer new

Labor, about 5 hours total, (good to have a best man that own's his own upholstery shop) priceless, haha .....

Thanks Again to All ,

Still not overly pleased where the factory panels sweep upwards! HMMMMM .....

Nice job K&B. I see what you mean regarding the corners of the door panel. If the upper panel is abs - one thought would be to cover the panel with upholstery, those dudes can make it finish on top of the D/Panel and hide the ' upsweeps ' Cutting the D/panel would be an option but tricky to fill in.
