Hopefully it's nice this weekend so I can put these bastards in.

They are glass not plastic of course. I will let everyone know how easy it is to put them in. Maybe do a how to if I have the patience.

Do you just drill a hole in the lens and snap those in?

Yeah sort of, it's not quite that easy though. :) I really wanted blue dots but I know with my luck I would be getting pulled over left and right because they are illegal in NY.

BTW thanks for the idea SoCal. I completely forgot they made red dots until you mentioned them. I was just going to put blue in and take my chances.

Captain; you'll have to pull the entire taillight housing out to get the lens off. (Unless you want a bunch of plastic chips inside your reflector area?) Most Blue or Red Dots need to have the metal prongs bent over on the inside of the lens to hold them in. I'd set aside a couple of hours at least...

Yup, they came with instructions. The only part of their instuctions I am going to modify is that I am going to add a bead of clear silicon to make sure no moisture gets into the lens. Of course the instructions don't tell me how to take my tail lights out, but I can figure that one out on my own.

No, little red glass jewels that cover the bulb in your taillight.

dots

Blue dots are illegal in Michigan too but I've had them on my cars and on my mororcycles too and never gotten busted. In fact I've seen a couple of state troopers in northern Mich with them on too!

In most states, it is now only legal for Police and emergency vehicles to use Blue Dots.

In Cali, we see them on Police bikes all the time.

If you're into torture, you could always put Blue Dots in, then swap them to Red Dots when you get a ticket! Then swap them back after you get it signed off...
