Oh, you can do it! I just wanted to warn of the possible heat damage from "live" pipes with running boards.

Eventually we will have to work out a solution...

The PT exhaust shown would be a good option because the tubes are for looks and only the tips of the actual exhaust exit out the side. Then you get the looks of functional pipes but without the heat issues. It would just be a matter of getting the tubes properly bent.

maybe you could cut a hole in the running borads for the exhast tip to exit out of it would sort of look like a cobra side exhast!, Thats what i have in mind a look like those. Someday mayde it will be a option or aftermarket part, as parts for the HHr keep on comming out as we speak on a daily basis.

Sorry to hear about the bad cut! (Remember the old carpenter's saying - measure twice, cut once!) You should be able to get new bump stops through your dealer. You need part # 5 in this diagram:

My GM parts diagram does not show a separate price for the bump stop (*called a "jounce bumper") - but it is included (along with the spring seat), when you purchase the springs. (I know, you don't want ot have to buy new "stock" springs to get it!) Anyway, call your dealer Monday and see if they can order them.

We may have aftermarket bump stop sets available in the next few months, these would be urethane just like the big boys.

Stay tuned...
