In my experience, most shops will tint darker than legal, but some just require cash & no paperwork / trail..

I do my own anyway......

PS: Don't tell 1151

Well if they ever start enforcing the tint law here in NC I'll fall over. Of course while they're at it they could do something about these silly cars riding on "Donks". We have a bright orange '78 Caprice in Kannapolis running 40" wheels, the guy need a small ladder to get into it. I kid you not, but that thing is higher than the roof of my HHR's, I just don't get it.

I hope they updated the brakes. The rotational mass of those wheels could be much more than the standard brakes can take and it might not stop from 60 in two football field lengths. I have not seen one that tall here in Greensboro, but I don't doubt there are some just like that.

I'm glad we have no inspection or emmission testing here. (knock on wood)..

I've seen some "Donks" in Fla, & they were called Miami Hi-Rises"
A goofier thing you would never imagine. I don't know how they are driving on the roads.
Biggest rims I've seen on one were 30"s'.........40"s' has to be totally INSANE !!!

I'll get some pics the next time I see it parked around town, its just the strangest thing you'll ever come across. The tires look like little rubber bands stretched on the rims, it has to ride like an old farm truck with broken springs. Hard to tell what gets into some folks, or why they do what they do.

I still havn't gotten mine done, my husband keeps nagging me to get my doctors note first, haha. But with no insurence right now I am not spending more then the tint costs to go to the doctor for that note.

Yeeeooooo! No insurance? Not Good. Thats taking a real big risk Dear.
All it takes is one jerk, plowing into you, and even if you don't get hurt, guess who has to foot the bill.
Insurance soon, or you better hang up the keys, til you get it. Thats way to risky a deal, nowdays. "Moon"
