I would take the old grill off and make a cardboard test grill the same size as the new SS one.Use the cardboard one to practice a cut on.

If you are using a wizz-wheel, go very slow, otherwise the overheating will melt the edge being cut..

Take yer time.

Ya better love that grille, cause cutting the bumper, is a one way street..

Aftermarket (CertiFit) and used LS/LTbumpers are pretty Cheap to replace if ever desired.
And only the top inch or so of todays so called"bumper absorber" (Styrofoam) will be knotched out to fit and would not need to be replaced.

Knotched is a nice look I think.

Not a fan on the HHR SS Grille myself.

Main reason being they did not offer it in Chrome.
And in general did not like the offset one bar.

But not being offered in Chrome is the Biggest killer of it for me.

Old School, and I Love Chrome on cars and trucks.

But if you like the Painted grille look thats Cool.

By "one way street", I meant with out opening the wallet.. I personally don't like the cut bumper cover.
