Thumbs up Thanks to all of your advice.......

I've been researching alot of things on the HHR, and this site has the most informative discussions you could possibly want.....and some great insight and advice. Thanks to a lot of different people I have .....

1. Found and installed ...using the How-To-Section, prepainted running boards (Sunburst Orange)

2. Found a Hidden Hitch and Wiring Kit (using the utube video to install)

3. Put on the rear step bumper guard...piece of cake......

4. Installed the window deflectors (smoke color), and went one further.....I added an extra set to the fixed rear windows so all the side windows match up........

5. Got the splash guards , but I might bite the bullet, and get the pre-formed (molded) , they seem to look better.

6. Added my Thule rack system for carrying my whitewater kayaks......still pending on the structual strength of the mounts, dealer said it should do fine, and if it fails they will fix it.......we'll see.

I'll be taking photo's soon of my "Pumkin" hopefully with some nice background.......stay tuned ! And thanks to all that have helped me along the way.....so far......

I've used these on my last three vehicles that had factory racks.

Hmm, price seems pretty good. Feet, load bars, and locks =$228 from Amazon. Anyone know any cheaper places?

Ah, but you still have to have the factory rails to use those Thule mounts...

I just got the Thule 450 mounts and LB50 load bars from Amazon.com. They fit the factory rails with no problems. Have to buy the locks sometime. At the time rei.com http://www.rei.com/ also had them at the same price. $135 for the mounts and $49.50 for the LB50 load bars was the best price I could find 2 wks ago. When not on sale the 450 mounts are $150 and the LB50's are $59. One the the sites also had free shipping at the time so that is something to look for also.
