Towing and load range is the same for the 2.2 & 2.4. I drove two models, a 2.4 auto and a 2.2 5-speed. I choose the later. It will pull a 6 mile 7% grade and stay in 5th and not shut the cruise off or bog the engine. Plenty of power.

But buy what your hearts tells you.
