Tinting tinted windows

Not sure if this was asked already, but is it possible to have tint applied to the already tinted windows to get them a lil darker than what they already are ? (I think i remember reading here about some that had fairly dark tint added to the rear side/back windows to get a limo/blacked out look)
I'm planning on having the front sides done soon hopefully as dark as my prev.truck's windows are (one "step" past legal in my state, but i think in the last 5 yrs, it has faded somewhat tho) which would be darker than factory, and wondering if a lesser tint could be applied to what is already dark to even it out to what i end up going with on the front sides. The factory stuff can look "no see thru" in some lighting scenarios, but don't want to have it look different from the aftermarket tint at times when it's not.
Dunno right off the top of my head what % tint(or light pass thru or whatever it's called)was on the truck, but i'd like to do it on the SS,and wondering if film on the factory tinted glass makes sense. I'm quessing it's prob been done b4,and that the installer will have a idea as to what to use to achieve what i'm going for.

I know, ask the tint shops,,,, don't bother us here with this but i value your opinions/knowledge prob more than a tint shop i now know nothing about on reputation/knowledge.

I'm thinking about having some more tint added to the already tinted rear glass on my Panel...I had the front windows tinted to 35% (the limit in Alabama is 32%, so I'm just under). But I'd like for the back glass to be "limo dark" also.

Tint film is applied to the inside of the glass, factory tint is in the plastic 'sandwich' layer of the safety glass. Tint film can be applied to factory tinted windows, I've done many times.

your post was really confusing so not exactly sure what your asking bout % and that but the factory tint is 21%ish. They are smoked in the glass already, so there is no film on the inside of the window where the after market film tint is applied. If your thinking bout having the tint done go to a shop that uses 3m tint. That black of the 3m matches the factory color tint perfect and if you do 20 percent it should match the darkness pretty close. also a little care tip for tint don't ever use glass cleaner that has ammonia in it(windex) turns the tint purple.

Yup, I'm aware of the deal w/ the factory tint n all,,been around tinted windows back when it was sprayed on .

Was just asking about being able to have them apply film on the already tinted parts, to match what i'll be going with on the front sides.
