Turn signal

I was going to replace the turnsignals with blue lights that are amber when lit. But when I was looking at the headlights and it looks like the area around the turn signal is amber. Anyone had their headlights apart to confirm this?

Also, is anyone aware of aftermarket headlights or tail lights.

A member has had them apart and confirmed that the area is also amber and that the headlight is a royal pain it get apart to modify.

The actual headlight assembly is hard to just take out, or to take apart? Are the tail lights hard to take off as well? Clear tail lights would look sweet on my silver panel.

Maybe that's why there aren't any aftermarket headlights/tail lights. Unless I haven't found any yet.

He was saying it was very hard to remove the lens from the headlight assembly. Removing the whole assembly from the car is not too bad. I do believe that the lens over the turn signal is orange so so anycolor bulb put in that spot will show orange.
As far as the tail lights go, the three nuts you need to remove to take the assembly out it in a fairly tight spot. Other than that they are easy to remove. The lens comes out with an assembly attached to it, it's noy just thelens that comes off. Be careful not to drop a nut while loosening them because it will fall down into the inside of the rear fenderwell and is very difficult to find and bring back out ( I did it and got my arm/elbow stuck in the hole while reaching way inside the fender and it hurt like hell and scratched up my arm pretty good trying to get it unstuck. And I felt like an idiot with my hole arm stuck in the back of my car for 20 mins )

Yup! Anyway you look at it, the lights, front and back, were not made for the everyday person to access. You have to go through the wheel well to get to the fronts.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just leave them alone, until some clear headlights/tail lights are available.

Please, that would be very helpful.

Did you do something with the area around the turn signals?

This is just a wild guess, but since you haver the Premier Edition that came with the smoked headlight assemblt, your's may not be amber like the rest.

I'll look at some here on the lot and see if there is a difference in the Premiere's lights. I'll get the pics once I get home from work.
