I used my trusty dremel tool with fiber cut off wheel for the big cuts, drum sanding bit for finish work.

It's very cute! turtle it is... try to have some GM grille insert to protect the radiator inside. It will allow air to flow into the radiator in order to help in cooling the engine. If the grille is left open, foreign matters like stones and other road debris will enter the compartment, thus harming your engine.
And also to prevent harmful elements from getting in contact with the engine compartment.

Yes we learned that when Socal got a stone in his condenser, everyone went on a lower grille modding all in the same week.
