luckily here my baby doesn't see dirt roads.

I was going to paint my muffler too, but I couldn't figure out how to get it clean to be able to paint it. If i went out and got it washed, it would just get filthy on the way back. My dad put all the hoses away for the winter, and wouldn't have mattered much anyways. I want to paint it bad but i don't want to wait for summer.
You just can't beat good ole Hoosier dirt

getting a fade like that is an old michigan trick. ha...

i was actually pretty impressed with how it faded, hence the photos.

if i had a spoiler in the back i think it would have helped to fade it better.

now my hhr is completely covered in ice and snow.

Hmmm..what you all are missing here is the visual effects of aero dynamics!
Here is a good example on how clean the air passes around the HHR,hence the gradual fading effect. If the air were turbulant it would have a more spattered look.Now..to work on the air around that front tire..wonder how that would work with front mud flaps? Those that have them, pay attention this winter and see how they affect the air down the side.Wish you had a better pic of the back....wouls love to see the pattern there.
