Decal

Don't want to be different, but I like the top stripes.

I think afterwhile you'll see a lot of HHRs looking different.

Sort of like a Harley, if you want to have your own look,

you have to experiment, take chances, be an individual.

Not all will like. Many have said they don't like the woody look.

I think with a lighter looking car it would work, not on my Black HHR LT2.

I've seen a couple creamy silver colored PTs that have the Woody Package,

and its different than the plane jane model. Just a comment...

Have a good weekend. Mr. B.

You guys are all kidding, right? I've been into the sport compact scene for many years now, and I have yet to see a single import car (I am assuming that is what you are referring to when you guys use the derogatory term "rice") with racing stripes.

While the sport compact scene might not interest most of you, you could all learn a thing or two....while the HHR is built after a 40's suburban, it has the engine of today's sport compact cars. If we look toward them for inspiration, I think we'll easily be pushing some formidable horsepower from this little powerplant, while getting excellent fuel economy. Making a V8 go fast is easy, what about a 4 banger? Well, my nissan (rice, I guess) makes an impressive 214 whp with bolt ons (no forced induction). Doesnt sound like much, but with the weight, it gets 0 - 60 in under 6 seconds, 1/4 mile in the high 14's, and gets 28 mpg.

Now I know this post makes me sound offended, and Im not. My HHR isnt going to be just another PT cruiser, though! Fact is, although I dont like them, racing stripes are american as Apple Pie.

Amen! But they are meant for muscle cars. I do see alot of single offset racing stripes in the import scene. They are used but in a different way.
