Wax that doesn't leave a white residue

After using some 3M paste wax last week I discovered several areas (edges of doors and panels, in bumper grooves, on door seals) on my car with dried, white wax. Can someone recommend a product that doesn't do this or should I just be more attentive when removing the wax?

(My previous truck was white so I never noticed wax I'd failed to remove)

it doesn't but it's hard to wipe completely clean, even with microfiber cloths. Mother's paste (for lack of a better word) seems to work well on my cars. It's pink and looks like chewing gum and never has left white residue. Pretty forgiving when it comes off too.

The pinkish Mothers has a cleaner in it. If your looking for straight wax-try Mothers California Gold Paste. It is made with only pure Carnuba Beans, nothing else...

if you want a really nice shine....go to your local big rig truck wash..(flyin j)etc..ask for the "alumibrite"..I have never found a chemical yet that does as good as a job of eating the crap off everything than the truck wash..will NOT HURT YOUR PAINT!!might cost ya 10-15$ for an HHR but dont quote me..then (whwn u need to) use some MOTHERS "show an shine" detailers wax..sprays on wipes off with little to no effort..last a long time..

Exclamation This stuff is AMAZING!

I am a freak about keeping our HHR(s) clean & this stuff is GREAT! Worked beautifully on my wife's black HHR as well!

Easy to apply, wipes completely off, leaves a nice shine without buffing.
