Wheel Question - 17" RIAX Fontana on an LS?

Ok first I know many are thinking... great, yet another wheel question...

Cause, yes I'v been through the Search Feature and read as much as I can, since I know just about nothing about wheels. I had to educate myself on bolt patterns, offsets, etc... and believe me, I do not have a head for numbers, they confuse the heck out of me.

Anyway, the one thing I could not find any specific information on was...

Can a 17" wheel be mounted on an LS Model?

I know the LT's can all use a 17" but, is there really a difference between the LT's and the LS' models in regards to what wheels that they can use?

I am starting to lean towards the RIAX Fontana in a Gunmetal because, in truth its just about the only decent looking "black"ish colored wheel out there that I can find that fits the HHR, with the look that I'm after. I'v seen quite a few pictures on this Site of that Wheel mounted on LT's... most of them from SoCalHHR and the wheel looks aboslutely great on his HHR, though its a lowered HHR, and the colors match up almost perfectly.

I have no intention of lowering mine though.

I'd appreciate some opinions before I make any decisions; and I guess asking other HHR owners is the best way to get them :)

16" LS or 17" LT, same bolt pattern. They can be interchanged.

Awesome, thats what I had thought, and was hoping...

But I was worried because Chevy.com lists that 17" wheels are not available for the LS; kinda had me wondering. Of course, they just want you to upgrade to an LT if you want that 17", so they'll get more money out of it... go figure.

Guess I'll start keeping an eye out for good deals on that wheel in the right size now...

IMO 17" wheels will look better on your ride that 16"s. Do they make casinos in 17"s? If they do I suggest you getting that size instead.

Yes, they do make those in 17's... but they're about $100+ more... and I'm on a budget with what I can do to my car.

Plus; I just bought it... and they still haven't sent me the Title and registration paperwork yet; so I kinda feel like I shouldn't do too much; until I have all that and my Tag is mounted on the car. The wheels are probably going to be the most expensive thing that I do and I may not be able to afford any tires with them, so if thats the case then I'm hoping the 16" factory tires that I have, will fit on those 16" wheels.

Ok this may be a completely stupid question but... well as I said I don't really know anything about wheels. The same goes for Tires.

The tires on my car list that they're 215/55/16.

Ok so I'm pretty sure that the 16 stands for a 16" wheel. But what in the world does the 215 and the 55 mean; and how does that translate to what wheels they can fit.

In other words... if I am looking at a set of wheels here on the internet, how in the world do I figure out what Tires are compatible with that specific wheel?
