Where can I buy a New Bowtie-any, or all colors

Hi-
Been lookin', but could not locate on here, where to buy a replacement bowtie for back (and-guess might as well replace front too), after "screwing it up, trying to get it off".
Great bunch of pics of various mods to HHR's....I'm a novice, but beginning to get interested in doing "little things" to improve this little '06 LT.

Thanks folks- TJ

Try Ebay. if not there, then search the forum for how to remove them, and then go to an auto salvage and pluck them off yourself.

I got mine through local chevy dealer. About $25 . Took a putty knife to remove the old one. Be careful- the 3-m tape is very sticky. Have it exactly where you want it before contact. I had mine off about 1/8" crooked and it drove me nuts! Had to get another one. Did alot better the second time...John

I use fishing line to saw thru the 3M adhesive.. & no worries about scratching something..

+ Summit Racing has the Billet bow-ties for our rides.

Try these http://www.summitracing.com/search/?...sm%20hhr&dds=1

I have the outlined polished on mine and worked with ASM to get them to fit correctly. The front bow tie is a work of art in how it came out.

These are by far the best looking and fitting ones available. Note they plan to offer color inserts for the factory emblems in the future.

As for removing the old ones. I use a little lighter fluid and or plastic pry sticks or even a popcicle stick cut to a wedge. The lighter fluid really cut the tape and does not hurt the paint. Just don't smoke and do this at the same time LOL! Removing and putting them on is a 5 Min job.

We bought the black All Sales bowties for my son's HHR from a different vendor. They arrived yesterday. The front one seems sorta ok and looks like it will fit. But the rear one seems to have no curve to match the curve of the trim.

What did you have to do to make yours fit? Do you have pictures?

Hubby got the original emblems off, so we gotta do something!!

This might seem too obvious, and don't take it as a smarty pants reply, but did you try both emblems in both locations. There is a different shape front to rear as you've found, and its always possible that you have 2 fronts or 2 rears, or they even sent the wrong set.

The package says it's the set for our HHR -- it's a retail-like package with both in one package. The two bow ties are definitely different. But the rear one seems to be totally flat. There are part numbers stamped on the back, so I will double-check. The are M96003 (front) and M96005 (back)

Here's a link to a thread from earlier this year, it seems that All Sales had some fit issues with the Bow Tie meant for the rear position.

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...ght=sales+ties

See post #24 in the thread, you may have an early set made before they corrected the fit issue, perhaps a call to All Sales will get you a replacement set.
