There is a huge difference between stock and being a poster child for LUND INDUSTRIES. If you dont know the difference you should seek advice.

Thanks BB, I'll have to check it out and keep in mind when ready to do it.

The only thing wrong with a stock, mild or wild HHR is when it gets dirty. Like I didn't think an old Studebaker was cool but man would I like to have a nice polished, waxed and clean STOCK one now. Dirty is the only thing I get embarressed about. A clean highly polished/waxed vehicle (no matter what kind) is alway cool. Unless I'm mistaken, most G2G's are about the people, the HHRs are just the item that brings us together. If it wasn't for Harvey I would not have met so many great people.

See ya down the road

Great point I have been to several G2G's and met great people at every one of them.

Hey, I've even made a g2g with my grill/hood pushed in. Nothing embarrassing about showing up to any event while keeping your ride stock!

What's the old saying: "If I have to explain, you would not understand!"

Something like that.

Been this way, probaly back to the beginning of something,
some like stock (and think modding is messing up, de-valueing, a vehicle),
some like modifying & customizing,
some go over-board.

I have found that vehicles, especially OLD'er Customized Vehicles, make people much more friendly. I know traveling to car shows in a Street Rod, is half or more the experience than the show. Almost every Gas Stop, people out of the blue speak & talk, traveling down the highway, you get waves, thumbs up, etc.... That is the great thing about a (Older/Cutomized) Vehicle, as well as G2G's, etc........

Ohh, thought I was not going to explain......

Later,
Mark

Right On! Momma's the one that drives the HHR, so I'm done with sticking anything else on, or in, the car. The only other thing I'd like to do, which isn't really a "Mod", is to get running boards put on. But with the price they want for that it'll probably never get done!

Absolutely nothing wrong with stock. To each their own. I am sure some people think my ride is over done, as I feel the same about some of the HHR's I have seen, but if that is what the individual likes then hey do it for you and too bad what other people think. The stock HHR is what drew me to buying it in the first place, but I like to have my car individualized. SO I DID. Only a few minor mods yet, like a t-handle in place of the wiper in back. Don't feel embarrased about your stock HHR just go to the gatherings and feel PROUD and enjoy the company!!!

Here's another way to look at it. Watch everone else and you will see all the things to not do.....

And for god's sake, don't keep a numbers listing of the thinkgs you've done. That's tacky. I put on four chrome valve caps, is that 1 or 4 mods....

Do what you like. Or don't do anything. Just enjoy your ride.
