I'm trading my ls panel in on an ss wagon. Ill still have my stock 16" steelies with good tires on them. The ss has 18" wheels with brembo brakes. My question is will my 16" steelies clear my brakes on the ss??

 

Yes, you should be okay.

 

I don't think 16's will clear Brembos. Mine has less than an inch of caliper clearance with stock 18's and Brembos.
Do the math. With 16's, you lose about 1 inch per side of the radius.

 

Ahhhhhh!!! Sometimes I hate this site. Made me get off my lazy a-- and go measure!
SS front with stock rims and Brembos= 7/8 inch clearance
SS rear with stock rims = 2 inches clearance

Only way a 16" rim would clear would be if the rims were really thin. Then it wouldn't clear by much. I still think they won't clear Brembos.

I'm sure they would clear mine, but they are still on the bench. I haven't decided which rotors to buy yet.
