DING DING DING DING... Winner winner chicken Dinner.. We have an answer...
Crutchfield: The GMOS LAN 04, is waiting for the ONSTAR to kick in, being that the car does NOT have Onstar... Sends it into stolen mode... Thus being the WRONG interface for this car, even though was told before I could use it, even without the Car having Onstar.. She said that is incorrect.
Only way to get it to work, is purchase the GM11b, one of the 6 top brand Head Units...
I asked about the gmos lan 03, she said it would not keep my steering wheel nor factory amp.
so get my 65 back from used one and buy this new one from cf.
I asked her a million questions to make sure itll do what I need. Factory amp/sub and steering wheel... so 99.99 plus tax, free shipping... now the waitting game
So crutchfield helped me get the right interface for my car. Supposed to retain all chimes etc and matched up with the pioneer HU I got, all steering wheel functions will work, no programing needed...
1 question I have though, since I have the stock subs and tweeters. Would that be considered the "bose" option. I contacted crutchfield but got an away email with no one currently working.... you have to move the wire harness to either bose or no bose before plugging into car.
x2 what FMG said. We all have the same HU, the Pioneer option gave the amp and seven speakers including the sub woofer, the Pioneer door speakers are 6 3/4 inch diameter, there are no adaptors available for them from the factory harness to aftermarket speakers.
I know its the pioneer system. Crutchfield emailed back with the "bose" port is for systems that need to retain those features that are the same as "bose".
I didnt know if the pioneer systems had the "same features" or not.
