08 radio upgrade

I've been told by different "sources" that an 06-07 premium radio will not work in an '08. Anyone know why?? "Sources" don't know why, just that it won't.

I bought one out of an 08 and put in my 06 and it works great.

I might be selling it here shortly tho. I want to upgrade to an aftermarket unit.

How did you handle the VIN number programming?

^^Dealer had to do that. I had the vin with me.

I've been told you don't really need it.

Short thread hi-jack!

Welcome! Did you know we're having a big HHR show in Branson next month?

And like the other said, they are interchangeable, you just have to have a dealer flash them so the car recognizes it.
