Oldblue, no...at least not at this time. My factory radio started loosing sound, it comes on... but sounds very tinny and faint. When it is over 95 degrees it works fine with no weird tinny sounds, but it's not always hot like that so I needed to see about fixing. Brought it to a Auto Audio place, to have it looked at. He told me he diodes failed is what I was told, and would need to buy a new head unit. At first I tried to get an original radio but all of them were a major cost and were used and kinda dirty, so I opted to buy a JVC with bluetooth, and therefore the parts needed to install.

So I guess you are not much for the interwebs? A very quick search on ebay for "hhr oe radio" yielded this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unlocked-NEW-06-07-08-09-CHEVY-HHR-Radio-AUX-6-Disc-player-CD-Changer-OEM/122652029286?hash=item1c8ea17166%3Ag%3Ao48AAOSw8cN UUldE%3Asc%3AUPSGround%2122407%21US%21-1&_sacat=0&_nkw=hhr+oe+radio&LH_ItemCondition=3&_f rom=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0
In this case "unlocked" means plug n play, no visit to a dealer etc. Pretty sure there are cheaper ones if I looked closer.
I trust that you are replacing the speakers too. They are most likely your real problem.
