Or their is something already out. Lots of HHRs have XM you just have to buy the factory XM receiver. Crutchfield is not the ultimate authority on audio products.

Never said they were. Not sure where that came from????

But if you call them, their techs are pretty well up to speed on the products on the market even if they don't carry them. I was looking for a PAC for my Alpine and at the time the only thing Crutchfield sold was a universal PAC. The guy on the other end of the phone told me that there was a PAC recently released for the Alpine I had, but Crutchfield didn't carry it yet. Not only did he tell me about a product that I didn't even know about, but he told me where I could find it.

I didn't mean that as an insult. I would say most of the people at Crutchfield don't know sh*t and have never installed a stereo. They are just people that applied for a job answering phones and all they know is the information there computer screen gives them. I don't trust their call center and they way overcharge for everything.

Well I wouldn't say they overcharge for "everything". You just have to shop around and realize what your buying and who you are buying it from. For example, I could have saved $20 by buying my Alpine headunit off ebay, but the ebay seller was not an authorized Alpine dealer and therfore Alpine would not honor the warranty.

But I get your point.

I'll agree with CH that the Crutchfield folks just read of their cpu to give you answers or info. I just ordered some hardware from them and the phone guy really didn't know jack.

But I recently bought some stuff from them that was reasonable. Their prices were the same as my local Best Buy but they currently have free shipping and since I'm out in Cali, I didn't have to pay sales tax. Yeah I could've saved a couple of bucks on ebay but returning stuff on ebay can be a nightmare.

I bought my subs from Crutch since they have a two for one sale with free shipping! Bought my head unit from them, saved on sales tax. I usually use their website for research and read their reviews from customers feedback.

I bought one of my amps from ebay because it was a pretty good deal. But if anything goes wrong with it...It will be a major P.I.A. to get stuff returned. My

I should be getting a call any day now. The SIR-GM1 should hit the stores sometime, I hope this week. They were to ship out of the factory on July 5th. I'll have a factory XM receiver for sale shortly. I can't wait to get SIRIUS back in my car.
