broken aux jack
hope you have a steady hand. what about a really big neodynium magnet. prolly would pull it out. short the radio prolly too or just straigt up pull it outta the dash. try some high pressure air. that might work too.
Unfortunately, no. When I put the broken end into the jack, I can get it to make contact with the stuck tip and have the XM play correctly. I'd just like to have a secure connection. Drat the luck...
And unfortunately, in my area, the FM modulator is very staticky. Damn...

i can see from the photos that you did break the entire tip off in there and of course that is where the aux jack "holds" on to the plug. The extractor above would have a good chance but you would have to put some pressure on it, and then in return the tip would probably just spin in place...
If i was out of warranty or did not want to talk to the dealer about it, here is what I would do.
I would remove the radio so I could get a better look at it (super easy and lots of how toos on here. I took mine out in about 2 minutes flat...). Now take a good look down in there, light it up good get a magnifying glass, whatever, see how much clearance you have to get in there. I would then take a small nail, smaller then the hole, but get something strong, use a file to put a small notch near the tip. Mix up a small amount of epoxy, probably as quick setting as you can get, 2 minutes or so, dap a small amount on the tip of that nail and get it in to the notch (so it can grip on the nail, you just want to loose the epoxy in there too) and stick it in there and hold it on the stuck tip. Try as hard as you can to not touch anything but that tip, hold it there. if it says 2 minutes, holed it for 10 or more, let it dry nicely and then pull that thing out.

What's funny is that I've never heard of this before...and then,a few weeks after this thread...a buddy who I was DJing with got excited and went to pull his headphones out of a mixer and the same thing happened...immediately, I knew what happened...lol
No need to buy a new radio. if you are interested, because I have the experience, I will remove it for you free of charge. What you have to do is take apart the radio, which is super easy, as I have done this several times. There are two silver screws on either side of the face plate, remove them and then the front cover will come off. Then its nothing more than a few screws, some desoldering equipment and a toothpick. If you send me the front of your radio, I will fix and send back same day received, you pay for shipping. PM me if interested!
