Try another antenna, or swap in another head unit.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Ps: your posts would probably get more responses if you used some punctuation, and used sentences rather than run everything into a long string of words. Your previous post about the stereo had very few responses - might be related?

My alpine has poor FM reception in this car. Funny the same Head Unit never had an issue in the 4 previous Chevrolet's it was in. Do you have a part number for this FM booster? So I can self install it?

SS Fan, what Alpine is that? Would you recommend it? I'm looking at putting a stereo/nav system in, but am having a hard time deciding which one, because they're all crazy expensive.

Kemo, you said antenna connections look ok. Have you checked the connections behind the head unit, or just the one on the roof? If you haven't, check the connections behind the head unit and make sure nothing's loose. As far as the antenna on the roof goes, I believe the front antenna is for FM. I believe it just unscrews, so if you haven't yet, try unscrewing it and make sure there isn't any water/crud in there, and screw it back on tight.
