My amp is installed in the tray underneath the rear floor shelf. It's wired direct to the battery terminal with 8ga wire and a fuse/disconnect setup for when I need to get to the spare. 16ft. of Monster RCA lines run from the head unit back to the amp along the driver side sill plates and back into the sunken panel.

I loved wiring up the HHR - it was a very easy vehicle to work on!
