Ground loop on AUX input

Hey all- searched but couldn't find my situation specifically... did I miss it? I've got my iPod going in through the front AUX input as I'm sure many others do. And I'm 98% sure my ground loop buzz is being caused by the particular combination power/mounting arm set-up you see in this pic

Sorry for the crappy pic but you get the idea. Anybody know how to fix it?

I have the same FlexDock that I use with my nano, too:

a. Ditch the fancy cable setup you have there and use just one continuous cable. More connections=more noise.

b. Make sure the audio cable is fully inserted into the jack on the FlexDock. It may appear to be fully seated, but the jack is somewhat tight and requires a little extra push to seat the connector.
